SleepGuard 1.0.1

A quieter bedtime for your Mac.

What’s new

Before you open it

This release is ad-hoc signed and not notarized by Apple. Drag SleepGuard into Applications, then right-click → Open. If macOS blocks it, use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. The download page shows the exact SHA-256.

Know the limits

SleepGuard is voluntary friction, not a security lock. A Terminal-savvy user can unload its agent. Command-Q does not dismiss the overlay. Unlock, then open Settings and choose Turn SleepGuard off to stop protection normally.

Reduce Motion keeps the sky still, and animation pauses when displays sleep. Automated checks cover an isolated schedule, passcode, grace, pause and agent lifecycle on one display. Several-night use, multiple displays, login and physical sleep/wake still need real-world feedback. No claim is made that SleepGuard improves sleep.

iPhone and Android are coming later. Nothing is sold today; the Mac app is free.
